- Catch the mother raccoon and her babies by using live trapping methods.
- After the raccoon problem has been solved, clean up any debris left by the raccoon. Remove all bedding material, waste, and nests.
- After the space has been cleaned, access points should be sealed to prevent reentry.
- Placing scent-based deterrents, like an ammonia mixture, will decrease the attraction of the environment and the raccoons will be less inclined to return.
